Accessories that come and go !

Just like clothes, accessory trends have got their expiry date as well. Things come and go. While some pieces go a long way, some go out of style very soon. Some current trends in this season are taking inspiration from the 90s. With fashion, there is always a vicious circle going on. High waist pants are a good example of this kind of vicious circle.

How has the accessory trend changed in the past few years?

Sleek and elegant pieces are the need of the hour. People prefer to keep it simple most of the time. Either everything that is paired with the outfit is simple or there is just one loud piece that gets paired. Let’s take a ride down the accessory lane to understand what has replaced what and what’s trending.

In the earrings section, we’ve come a long way from dangling and loud earrings in vibrant colors to classy sober colored ones. On the other hand, the previously hyped simple hoop rings have been replaced by hoops with stones and other embellishments that could be added to your ethnic wear.

Single ear ear-cuffs and over-sized jewellery are one of the biggest trends of the season. The beauty of these pieces is the ease with which they can be paired with simple shirts or dresses. Pom-poms are a big fad too. Their colorful and eye catchy design is bound to floor any jewellery maniac. The use of pom-poms has not only been restricted to earrings. Shoes, bags and even some neck pieces have been seen adding some pom-pom effect.

In the ethnic section, people still prefer jhumkis over anything else. While they are comfortable and suits any face type, they have been in demand for quite some time now. The jhumkis have also replaced daily use studs in a way. Visit our products

When it comes to neck pieces, chokers are the big thing having left behind long chains. Although a lot of people still carry off long chains very well they still have taken a back seat. Another accessory piece that the chokers and long chains have left behind are the delicate short chains with small pendants. People are also showing their love for tribal and tassel jewellery. They represent a lot of power and can reasonably be paired with any kind of clothing. Thus, making this kind of jewellery an evergreen choice for young and middle-aged women.

While fashion changes its face every now and then, there are some things that never change. They never come under the “trending” tag but they definitely never go out of style.

Pearls – Pair them with your LBW or a simple kurti, it’s bound to add an attractive element to your clothing.
Black sunglasses – Thanks to the hot Indian weather, the standard black sunglasses are always in demand.
Metal watches – They add style to every outfit. Whether you’re going formal or casual, they’ve got to add a whole deal of style to your outfit.
Diamond earrings - They are the definition of class and class never gets out of style.
Scarf – Scarves are widely used by young Indian women. They save them from the sun, pollution, and add a lot of style to simple outfits.  They don’t look like they are going out anytime soon. Oh, and they also save you from nosy relatives all the time.

The jewellery industry is booming. And between all the fashionistas changing trends, there are a lot of jewellery pieces that go wasted. Thus, leaving the average woman with the hard decision of buying a piece.
KLAIV tries to bridge that gap between what’s in and out by creating self-made designs that never go out of fashion and stands for its own style, simplicity, and comfort.
